Description:
Gotham City ist zur Jahrhundertwende eine blühende Stadt. Die Industrie ist im Aufschwung, der Multimilliardär Bruce Wayne will das mit einer Weltausstellung zeigen. Doch nicht alle Seiten von Gotham erstrahlen so hell. In den dunklen Gassen der Stadt treibt ein Killer sein Unwesen: Er meuchelt Frauen und geht dabei mit hoher Brutalität und hoher Präzision vor. Die Polizei um Commissioner James Gordon hat keine Spur zu dem Verbrecher, den die Presse “Jack The Ripper” tauft. Daher muss Bruce Wayne selbst zur Tat schreiten. In der Maske seines Alter Egos, des Verbrechensbekämpfers Batman, macht er sich an die detektivische Spurensuche – unterstützt wird er dabei von Selina Kyle.
